The Next Cooperative Community Pot Luck
Date - Wednesday, April 30th, 2014 Time- 6:30 pm
Location - Colors Restaurant
311 East Grand River, Detroit.
The Center for Community Based Enterprise (C2BE), Job With Justice and Colors Co-op Academy are continue to jointly sponsoring a potluck series to discuss job creation and economic development ideas for broadly empowering the people of Detroit.
Bekah Galang will be giving a talk about Colors Co-op Academy, it is once again looking for a new cohort to build into equitable, sustainable good food businesses! The Co-op Academy is a year-long program accepting teams of three or more people with a good food business idea. Over the course of three phases, we will teach your basic finance, branding, and management, place you in an apprenticeship with a successful local business, and help you launch!
If you can not come to the potluck but are interested in Colors Co-op Academy please contact the Coordinator, Bekah Galang, at (313)451-4187 or [email protected].
The purpose of these gatherings are simple: to break bread over good conversation surrounding the work of building a new economy, based in human need, full employment /green jobs which works for everyone. Everyone is invited who is doing or is interested in doing this kind of community-building. As we get to know each other, we may foster relationships that will enhance our various respective projects and create the possibility for future new-economy collaborations.
