In Other Words' Adult Young Adult Book Club is a fun, casual discussion group for fans of YA literature. We meet at In Other Words on the third Thursday of each month to discuss young adult novels through a feminist/queer lens. How do our reactions to YA literature change as we age? What messages do authors send to young people? Do the stories line up with our memories of being teenagers? We read contemporary work and also revisit classic authors like Judy Blume and SE Hinton. Sound interesting? Join our Facebook group (www.facebook.com/groups/142378029143391/) to see what we've read so far, and to stay updated on what we're reading next!
