*REGISTRATION FOR THIS SITE OPENS 8/1. PLEASE REGISTER AT www.welovecleanrivers.org* Come float and fill the boat! The 13th Annual Down the River Clean Up on the Clackamas River is set to make a splash on Sunday, September 13th, 2015. It's the largest and longest running on-water cleanup event of its kind in Oregon, co-hosted by the Clackamas River Basin Council and We Love Clean Rivers. Over 350 volunteers will rally together in rafts, kayaks, drift boats, and SCUBA gear, to scour the streambed and banks for trash. Since 2003, over 32 total tons of garbage have been removed to help preserve and protect the health of this beautiful and bountiful river for people, fish, recreation, and more. All non-motorized watercrafts may participate in the event. Boaters must have Class II+ whitewater experience and wear a life jacket and whistle. Volunteers will put in between 7:30-9:30 am at boat ramps located along the river which include Barton Park, Carver Boat Ramp, Riverside Park and new to the event this year - Milo McIver State Park's Lower Boat Ramp. With your help we can keep this 20+ mile stretch of the Clackamas clean from Estacada to the confluence with the Willamette River in Oregon City. Whoo-hoo!! And for everyone's hard work, a FREE BBQ will be available at Barton Park from 3:00-5:00 pm. On-water and on-land volunteer opportunities are available. For more information about the event and to register (beginning August 1st) visit www.welovecleanrivers.org. Activities include: Litter Cleanup.

We all love Oregon's beaches, rivers and natural areas. For over three decades Oregonians have been proving that by volunteering at the annual SOLVE Beach & Riverside Cleanup, presented by the Oregon Lottery. Be part of this volunteer movement, impacting Oregon’s environment, wildlife and communities. It’s an easy, fun way to get outside, meet your neighbors, and make a difference by cleaning up Oregon's rivers, beaches, parks and trails, removing invasive plants or planting plant native trees and shrubs. There are over 100 volunteer-led projects across the state for you to choose from, including 46 beach cleanup sites coast-wide. Only you can ensure our beaches, rivers and natural areas are kept clean and healthy. Learn more and get involved today at www.solveoregon.org This event is part of the International Coastal Cleanup and National Public Lands Day. SOLVE is an Oregon nonprofit that helps people take care of where they live, work, and play. Join our team of volunteers and see how you can make a difference in just a few hours!
