Gabriela Rodriguez is an activist and hacker who loves the intersection between media and technology. She grew up in Uruguay, lives in Portland, is currently in Buenos Aires for a year-long Knight-Mozilla Open News fellowship.  She co-founded the Uruguayan nonprofit DATA that works with open data and transparency in South America, and was a founding member of IndyMedia.org, helping to launch that site in cities around the world.
